You have before you a set of gloves and glove accessories designed to keep your hands warm and safe for years to come.
Garygloves are made in the USA from genuine full grain heavyweight steerhide, with the flesh side out. This way it is easier to put them on over the included wool liner gloves, and even without them, it is nice to have the smooth side against the skin. In addition, suede develops an attractive appearance when used heavily. Just like your best jeans, the more you wear them, the better they look.
*Brand new Garygloves may shed some suede particles at first. This will decrease with use, or after applying the included Sno-Seal, so don’t worry about it.
Wool Liner Gloves
Knitted specifically for Gary LLC, these gloves are made to the same specifications as those used by the US Armed Forces. How do we know? They are made at the same place, and we asked them. They use a yarn that is 70% wool and 30% nylon, a warm and durable blend. Wear them inside your new leather gloves, or don’t. They work fine by themselves too.
Known as Palo Santo or “holy stick”, woodchips from the tree bursera graveolens are provided to keep your new Garygloves fresh and moth-free. You can also empty the sachet into a fireproof receptacle and burn it as incense, if you like to do that kind of thing.
This beeswax-based leather treatment has been produced by the company Atsko(tm) for many decades. Apply it to your new Garygloves for increased weatherproofing. It does change the suede’s appearance, so we recommend testing a small area first to see how it looks. If you don’t end up putting it on your new Garygloves, take a look at the package to see a few other uses.
